The first day back at work always sucks, and I had a fairly nice and easy day.  It doesn’t help when this was one of the last pictures I saw while on my vacation.  But then I did suffer through over seven hours of red eye flights.  At least I had several days to recover and catch up around the house.  I did get to see the fairly successful results of my insane, late night, last-minute sod laying.  Took fairly well, with the help of paying the neighbor kid to water it like crazy. But that’s really a post for another time or category.  I should sleep, tomorrow is the first day of school and I took it off to take my oldest to her first day.  Wish us luck…

This is my first attempt at a blog, seeing as how I am hopelessly anti-Facebook.  I stole the idea from a friend who’s blogging to document his random adventures so people like me who aren’t on Facebook can keep up with his barn and stuff.  I’m not promising much, but I’ll try to keep up with this as much a guy with a kid entering elementary school and a wife starting a PhD program, while I work full time, will allow.  I might go on rants, I might post my photography, and I might post some of my projects I stumble through.
